A word from the Artist on this work
'For me, the culinary series celebrates the joy and chaos of the kitchen — the true heart of a home. It’s a space that sparks conversation, creativity, and connection, whether you’re cooking solo or surrounded by friends. I’ve always been inspired by nature, especially the beautiful environment we live in, and that same energy flows into the way I cook and create.
When Evelyn invited me to work together on this project, it instantly felt like the perfect fit. Peggy’s colourful concept and the inspiring group of guests she gathered made the experience feel vibrant, collaborative, and full of creative possibility.
I’ve used a variety of media in my recent collection, including shellac-based inks, graphite pencils, and gouache. In the last few years — especially after returning from Japan — I’ve been exploring different types of paper. I’m drawn to the way water moves across the surface, the looseness it creates, and the way colour can transform the entire structure of an image.
I tend to work boldly and generously with colour, something I also love exploring through oil paint.‘
